I found the Strasbourg trip to be a very enjoyable experience that helped me step out of my comfort zone and socialise more with people outside of just Cavan. It also helped me understand more about the parliament and how certain problems within the European Union are discussed and dealt with. I also found every other aspect of the trip, such as the Christmas markets and tour of the castle very interesting. The advisors were also very friendly and helpful throughout the whole trip and answered any questions I had throughout. I also felt as though I wasn’t restricted in terms of time, as I had enough to walk around the town and grab a bite to eat with my friends, and the curfew for each day was very reasonable. The origami hotel was very beautiful as well, with a delicious breakfast, cozy room, and restaurants within a walking distance from the building which had me feeling very relaxed. Overall, I found the trip to be a wonderful, stress-free experience and I am very grateful that I was chosen to attend.
